Reading is an intricate activity that integrates a number of complex operations in microseconds.

The most efficient way of reading is by using a phonetic alphabet, that is each letter has a sound and a combination of letters makes a word.

Korea has Hangul as its script. 삼성

Arabic has لُبْنَان

However even using phonetic systems not everyone can read.

1.5% of the population is dyslexic.

What is worse though is that

15- 30 % of the population has an attitude against reading.

Reading develops empathy,

empathy helps us adapt to other mindsets which leads to social mobility,

when we have social mobility we see more choices,

more choices help us find our strengths and give us more chances of success.

Today we will put a book on the 2021 Premier’s Reading Challenge.

We have put our fiction books on the central shelves for borrowing.

Non-fiction books are in a crate for browsing if you wish.
